Horsemanship Class
If your kids are wanting to learn all aspects of the horse, this is the class for them! In this class they will learn basic horse care, anatomy, common illness, breeds, things to do with their horse, and so much more! We will have a hands on section in each class where kids will be handling a real horse. They will be learning how to catch, halter, groom, load in the trailer, and do many other skills correctly and most importantly safely. Each child will also get a short private lesson in addition to the horsemanship class.
During our Summer Horsemanship Class, we will be doing a “Own your own horse project” where kids will build a board of their real life dream horse, where to keep it, what to feed it, what equipment you need to buy, initial and long term costs to plant for, and more!
If you are in or have completed this class you will be allowed to join in all field trips. These will be all horse related from vet visits, equine dentist, learning about horse sports, breeding facility, and more! These could have an additional fee depending on where and what we do. These will be on the calendar with details/prices.
Our Horsemanship class is designed for kids ages 8-14 but may allow exceptions based on skill level and interest. Children younger than 6 require an adult to stay and supervise during class. Message me to see if your child is eligible.
